Our story

Why we started Mavan Services.

We kept seeing the same pattern in good UK service businesses: a capable team, real revenue, healthy demand — and a back office buried in spreadsheets, copy-paste, and tools that nearly talk to each other.

The available options were never great. Off-the-shelf SaaS forces you into someone else's process. Generic agencies build flashy prototypes and disappear. Cheap freelancers leave behind code no one wants to touch.

Mavan exists to be the third option: senior engineers, embedded long enough to actually understand the business, building tools and automations that get used every day and keep working for years.

What we believe

Software should make the team faster, not the team support the software.

If a tool needs a Monday-morning workaround, it's not done. If a report takes someone half a day to assemble, that's a tool we haven't built yet. If a process lives in someone's head, it's risk we should have automated.

We measure ourselves on hours removed, errors eliminated, and how confidently leadership can answer questions about the business — not on lines of code shipped.

How we grew

A short timeline.

Founding

Mavan starts out of frustration with the gap between off-the-shelf SaaS and genuine custom software for UK SMEs. First few engagements are internal tools for trades and professional services firms.

Automation focus

Workflow automation becomes a deliberate second pillar. We start standardising patterns for replacing manual re-entry between CRM, accounting and scheduling systems.

Integrations practice

System integration is added as a first-class capability. We invest in a reusable library of connectors to the tools UK service businesses actually use.

AI, done properly

We start embedding LLM-based assistants and agents — but only where they earn their keep. Practical use cases, supervised by humans, with clear cost and accuracy boundaries.

Today

Mavan Services covers five capability areas under one accountable partner: internal tools, automation, integrations, AI assistants, and data & reporting — with an active client base across the UK.
